As part of my updates from the past year, I stumbled onto these photos taken at a Frank Turner show last winter.  The concert took place at the legendary Toronto dive-bar Horseshoe Tavern.  One of my all time favorite things is to be able to see a great artist in a small venue – this was no exception.  If you have never heard of Frank Turner, check out his newest video here.  If you have never seen him live, than I suggest you do so immediately.  He is touring this spring with Dropkick Murphys, so do yourself a favor and do not miss it.

 

 

 

This roll of film holds a special place in my heart.  It is the first roll of film I ever shot. I was lent a Nikon FE10, along with a roll of Ilford Delta 400, by my good friend Maciek Drozdzik Photography.  Having been given only basic instructions, I winged it. Walking the streets of downtown Montreal in the middle of winter with a few good friends, I was inspired to capture the harsh mid-day light spilling over and around the city’s beautiful architecture and people on the street.

Do you ever wonder about that photographer friend of yours that takes a million pictures that you never see? Well for the past few years I have definitely been “that guy.” In a new city, with a new website, and a fresh frame of mind, I’ve made a resolution to no longer take photos that are never seen, and share them with all of you. Over the next few weeks I will be catching up on blog posts with photo’s from the last 2 years that never, until now, made it off my computer. I Hope you all enjoy the blast form the past.
